This soft object is part of a collection that was sparked off both by the children’s book “Happiness of a star” written by Dario Moretti, and by the homonymous show put on by the “Teatro all’Improvviso” children’s improvisation italian theatre company.  ll the creations in the “Dew Addicts….addicted to dew!” collection were also selected for exhibit in the 16th edition of the “Mostra del Ricamo e del Tessuto di Valtopina” (the Valtopina Embroidery and Fabric Exhibition), in the project they devoted to “Happiness of a star".

This work is part of a collection of soft objects named "psicho toys". In these objects "... the threads grow into fantasy elements where natur's forms and shapes are extracted and distilled into color-kaleidoscopes, or enchanting, colorful dreams.The threads Luisa unravels evidently portray a oneiric world where reality and illusion interwine."  Scimmie - Monkeys

..."Do you know what “pareidolia” means? It's called pareidolia the instinctive tendency to find familiar shapes in different images. Have you ever seen animals or faces in the clouds? That's it! 
I started to see monkeys and other familiar shapes in elements I was working on thrown randomly on my desk a lot of years ago. I started to sew and join the elements together only in 2018.
That's how my body of work Monkeys was born."

... "Sapete cosa significa la parola "pareidolia"? E' quella tendenza istintiva di riconoscere forme familiari in immagini e oggetti. Avete mai riconosciuto animali o volti nelle nuvole? Ecco!
Ho iniziato a riconoscere facce di scimmie e altre forme familiari in elementi a cui stavo lavorando buttati a caso sul tavolo da lavoro molti anni fa. Ho iniziato a cucire ed unire gli elementi solo a partire dal 2018. Ecco come è nata la mia scerie Scimmie."
